Teaching a Probability UnitProbability is one area of the curriculum that teachers often feel unprepared to teach. This course demystifies probability and gives teachers practical activities for helping their students learn important probability concepts, including determining the likelihood of events, establishing sample size, and making predictions from samples. The standards-based unit presents lessons involving games, experiments, and investigations that engage students in predicting outcomes and testing their predictions. Samples of student work connect the experiences to classroom instruction. Grades 1–4.
