Leadership Course: Ensuring a Successful Transition This full-day course provides leaders with insight into the structure and pedagogy of the Mathematical Practices and a vision for classroom implementation including observing a model lesson demonstrating "best practice" strategies.
This course will enable leaders to:
- Strengthen their math content and pedagogical knowledge around the Common Core Mathematics Standards
- Understand how students learn mathematics
- Support teachers as they begin to incorporate practice-based instructional strategies that promote thinking, reasoning and sense making into their classrooms

Math Reasoning Inventory™ for School and District Leaders This full-day course introduces school and district leaders to the theory, structure and focus of the online formative assessment tool. Participants explore ways to evaluate students' numerical reasoning relative to the processes and proficiencies in the Standards for Mathematical Practices. Participants will learn to view school or district-wide data and generate reports. Includes MRI Tier 1 Manager Subscription.
This course will enable leaders to:
- Gain a solid understanding of the theory, structure and focus of the MRI assessment and its relationship to Next Generation Assessments and numerical reasoning as outlined in the Mathematical Practices
- Understand how students learn mathematics and how instruction needs to be tailored based on assessment outcomes
- View data and create reports across schools and districts
