Overview of Lesson
Students use ten-frames and hundred-frames to understand the meaning of zeros in multiples of 10 and 100. They learn that 200 is 2 hundreds plus 0 tens plus 0 ones using the visual model of the hundred-frame. Then they write three-digit numbers in expanded form using the same visual model.
